Trustee's at VoNCon have been hard at work throughout July and August on a range of fundraisers, community events and outreach. And the exciting events are set to keep coming over the next few months!
Winner Winner: Quiz & Dinner
The trustee's at VoNCon were blown away by the level of support received before, during and after our latest fundraiser, where old and new faces gathered at The Mine, in Neath, for a good quiz and some delicious food.
Thank you to everyone who donated their time and money to attend, we truly couldn't do what we do without you. For those who were learning about VoNCon for the first time, we hope to see you around a table with a board game soon! VoNCon would also like to thank all of the lovely businesses who donated some excellent raffle prizes. We also couldn't have hosted such a great night without the excellent staff at The Mine, so a big thank you to you as well.
Attendees and volunteers will be seeing the benefits from the money raised over the next few months, with lots of plans in place to ensure our regular monthly events continue to grow in size, support and frequency. Keep an eye out on our events page, where we will announce any new and exciting events you can get involved with.
A night of mario kart with Swansea gaming central
A few of our trustees also set up at Founders, in Swansea, to play some board games at Swansea Gaming Central's Mario Kart party - we didn't know how exciting those games could get! It was great to meet some new faces, and we hope it's the start of more opportunities and collaborative events in the future. VoNCon is grateful to both Swansea Gaming Central and Founders for inviting us to be part of their event.
The invitation is always open for members of Swansea Gaming Central to attend our monthly board game and tabletop roleplaying sessions - we hope to see you at the table soon!
The fun doesn't stop there
All of the trustee's at VoNCon have been hard at work organising a range of popup and regular events, whether that's scouting out venues, recruiting new volunteers or planning activities. It's easy to get involved, whether as a volunteer or attendee, so head over and sign up - we can't wait to meet you!
